Theme: 2072
Question: What’s fashionable in the future?

It’s the year 2072, and finally, my wish has been granted. One dress- several looks. All one has to do is buy a dress and a few chips. The chip determines the design and colour of the dress. By the year is over, I intend to buy one jacket and a pair of pants. Then all I have to do is keep buying chips and creating new fashions.
Even for casual wear, the clothes are sustainable and long-lasting. I mean, I have been wearing the same pair of pieces of denim for at least fifteen years. They are made of pure cotton, and vegetable dye is used.
I am a minimalist like my grandmother. My grandmother is thrilled with this new concept. She wishes that it was available at last fifty years ago. She says imagine having one saree and several designs. One would not have to go and buy a new saree on a regulus basis. Well, I don’t understand what she means because I do not wear a saree, and I doubt my mother has worn one. Strangely it is nearly out of fashion. Brides may wear it. But they also prefer to wear skirts or gowns.
My grandmother is disappointed. She says the original Indian costumes have vanished. But I see a lot of Indian embroideries. She insists it is only on western cuts. And she admits the new fashion is all about sustainability.
